Meet Sheri Melrose

FOUNDER & CEO

I am a midwestern girl who is lucky enough to now call East Texas home.  After a 25-year career as a healthcare analyst,  I decided to take my love of color-coded spreadsheets and partner with my dear friend, Jena, to create a company designed to make life simpler for our clients.  I know not everyone shares my love of a good spreadsheet,  but I do believe that so many people desire the calm and peace that comes from order and systems.

Although numbers are totally my jam, I do have fun too! I love hanging out with my husband of 31 years, three grown kids and son-in-law, and our sweet grandsons!  I enjoy traveling, reading, working out, and restoring our 100-year-old historic home.

  • Jena Fillmore

    FOUNDER & LEAD ORGANIZER

    Born and raised in East Texas, I am a proud Texan through and through!  I’m a true people person with a marketing and customer service background.  I love all things organization and can’t wait to get our clients just as excited as we are about the organized life. I believe a neat, tidy space can be so calming, adding simplicity to your life. 

    My husband and I have been married for 33 years and have two grown children, a precious granddaughter, and one very pampered dog named Oliver.  I love to play tennis, work in the yard, and watch college football. 

  • Mitzi Britt

    TEAM LEAD

    I’m a home organizing specialist who loves the challenge of transforming chaotic spaces into beautifully organized areas.  To me, organizing is like fitting together a puzzle, and I thrive on bringing order to the unorganized! 

    I’ve been happily married for 23 years and am a proud mom of two wonderful kids, aged 21 and 17. When I’m not helping others create functional spaces, you can find me working out, reading, helping others, or enjoying quality time with my friends and family. Above all, I’m grateful for the blessings in my life and I give Jesus Christ all the glory!

  • Alicia Day

    ORGANIZER

    Originally from College Station, I earned my bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University (whoop!) before teaching for four years. I then worked as an editor and proofreader for a radio ministry while obtaining my master's degree from The University of Texas at Tyler. I moved to Tyler in 2019 and returned to education for another four years. 

    I have always loved organizing and decorating spaces for myself and for family members, so I was excited to join the team at A Well-Placed Space. Currently, my husband and I reside in Tyler and enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, traveling, and hanging out with family.

    ORGANIZER

    A proud graduate of Texas A&M, I have a passion for organization and order that has driven my 10 years of professional experience in planning and organizing events for non-profit organizations across Texas. I'm thrilled to be back in East Texas, where I call home with my husband and our two energetic and loving dogs, Cope and Klaus. When I'm not organizing, I love spending quality time with family and enjoying all things outdoors!
